Down On The Floor
More

Down on the floor

I climbed all the way here to see you baby

I never said you were wrong

I can’t stand here in the door way and fight

I got to climb back down the hill

Because it’s a long way down

Can’t think of a reason that I would

Want to make it to the top

Power, drive, competition and greed

And the climbing never stops

And it’s a long way down

I try to keep my spirits up

Keep a smile upon my face

Truth is I just drink myself

From day to day to day

When it’s time to stand a fight

I just run away and hide

So you can’t blame me any more

For your supernatural high

Remember It’s a long way down

You don’t bounce when you hit it

You can’t cry if you miss it

For A Penny
More

For A Penny

Comes a time in your life

You come to grips with what’s gone wrong

You can’t stand up for falling down

All you want is one sweet kiss

But you can’t get back the kiss you sold

For a penny my heart for a penny my love  for a penny

Time rolls on it moves ahead

Forget the past it weighs like lead

It’s pleasing when your path is true

But it’s not so clear when your path …….

And I’d still give it all up for you

For a penny my heart for a penny my love for a penny

Say good bye one last time

It’s all you get the dying’s done

You can’t go back back in time

And kiss the kiss you want to kiss

And you can’t buy back the things you sold

For a penny my heart for a penny my love for a penny

Get Out
More

Get Out

I look around I see an Ocean

I’d like to think you would agree

You see it’s packed like a potion

That’s only given to the free

The problem is it’s just a notion

And no time to be free

Looks like you’ve found a lover

Got a kiss and a way to calm your fears

Don’t make the same mistakes that I did

You’ll wind up in a bed of tears

You think you’ve found a solution

To the game of love and how it’s played

Truth is love ain’t a game now

Least ways not one you can win

Give It All
More

  I’d Give It all

I’d give it all for you

I’d do what you need me to

I’ give my eyes for you

I’d give my heart and then my soul

I’d give it all you

I know there’s no way to leave

You follow me if I did

I feel so trapped in my small little world

Chorus

I give it all for you

It’s not like I have a choice

These days it seems you’ve stolen my voice

I’d give it all for you

I’d break the sentimental chains

The ones that hold me to the past

We could run from these walls We could run so fast

I’d give it all for you

There is no whiskey glass

Big enough to hold the pain

I know you put me down I just don’t know why

I’d give it all for you

Some days I think it all was a lie

Those are the days I sit here and cry

I’d give it all for you

Kiss Your Woman
More

Kiss your woman goodbye

There is a lot of trouble that comes with you.

You ought to leave it behind

I know you think that you know everything

But you don’t know why

I’ve tried so hard to get over this thing

This 10,000 footwall

And all he ever really wanted from you

Was to be your friend

Some people are larger-than-life some people are small

So you went and joined the Army today

Kiss your woman goodbye.

Verse two

Way too much information my friend

I’m so sick of the pace

I’d like to slow down maybe open a store

Maybe run me a farm

Take good luck where you can find my friend

Good luck comes at a cost

Take your love to a higher place and throw away the key

Truelove is that a worn-out phrase like purple haze

For all the dreams that will never come true

Kiss your woman goodbye

How many soldiers have to come and go?

How many boys have to die?

How many young men are you going to lose?

I bet you don’t have a clue.

How many have never loved a girl

Or even held her hand?

How many more of them are you going to kill?

Before you figure it out.

True love is that a worn-out phrase like purple haze

Just in case your dreams don’t come true

  • Kiss your woman goodbye

Little Fishin Girl
More

Little Fishing Girl

I could head on down

Or I could stay here, but I would need all of you

I sit here alone

Like flowers on a tomb, I sit here and wait for you

You’re always saying

We could have fun at the beach

Or maybe we could hit that lake up north

Chorus

Crazy Little Fishin Girl

Knee deep in hot water

Got to get one more, before the sun goes down

I’ve been struggling

With this song for years

guess it’s time to turn the page

Your beautiful mind

Your love of all things

I bet you can’t wait till summer comes back

Chorus

Crazy Little Fishin Girl

Knee deep in hot water

Got to get one more, before the sun goes down

It’s been like hell missing your smile

I know you’ll come back some rainy day

I’ll run till I drop and fall on the floor

I can only think of one remedy

I’ll sit by the lake and throw out a line

I’ll think of you and your crazy ways

Crazy Little Fishin Girl

Knee deep in hot water

Got to get one more, before the sun goes down

Merry Go Round
More

Merry go Round

I do what I do and don’t always know why

I try to tell myself I got a handle  and I’ll be just fine

But as I watch the days spin by I’m not in control

I want to stop I know that I can but I know that I won’t

Chorus

I feel like a child that’s lost  With no sense of home

I gota get back to the thing I love  but I don’t know how

Just when I think I’m almost there  I’m not even close

I feel a storm rise from the heat and I can’t say no

Chorus

I think about the things   That I should have been

I think about my wasted youth  And time Passes by

I carry this prison with me Wherever I go

Seems like I been here before I just can’t let go

No Rain
More

No Rain

My mother use to say that

The rain will wash it clean

No matter what went wrong

In the world that you’d seen

Those were simpler times I guess

But I still know what she means

The world could use a good bath ya

A good scrub in down

But there’s no rain insight

In the late evening

I’ve heard them cry

I’ve seen them on my tv

I’ve watched them lie

There is no easy answer

That you can give

It’s always about the money

And how it’s all dryin up

But there’s no rain insight

I had a dream last night

It was the end of the world

There was the usual fallout

Dust blowin round

Nuclear war heads shining

Against a dark and blood red sky

As everybody gathered

To say their last goodbyes

There was No rain insight

Now That You’re Gone
More

Now That Your Gone

Now That Your Gone ………………I don’t have to think About you

Every minute of the day

Now That Your Gone ………………I don’t wait to hear you whisper

My name all soft and sweet

Now That Your Gone ………………The scent of Lavender Has Faded

All my Dreams have faded too

Now That Your Gone ………………I’m not starring out at nothing

Waiting for the telephone to ring

Now That Your Gone ………………I don’t lie awake and wonder

When I’ll hold you in my arms

Now That Your Gone ………………All I have is your memory

To wake me up at 2 AM

Now That Your Gone ………………There’s no one to share the sunrise

No one to love the crescent moon

Now That Your Gone ………………I can’t stop my heart from breakin

I can’t stop the tears that fall

Now That Your Gone ………………Every day seems forever

And every night’s and endless road

Self Inflicted
More

Selfinflicted

I’ve been down a hundred miles or more

I know the low man on the totempole

I look around and I wonder why

The things I love make you want to cry

So confusing, So conflicting, Selfinflicted thats what Isaid

It’s all anybody talks about

It’s all anybody thinks about

It’s all anybody really knows about

It’s just like a fever goin round

You think that your so smart

Get your ass over here and show me the way

You’ve got all the answers

To all the questions you think

So confusing, So conflicting, Selfinflicted thats what Isaid

It’s all anybody talks about

It’s all anybody thinks about

It’s all anybody really knows about

It’s just like a fever goin round

I’m so damn elated

I made it over the hill

Yet I’m so damn frustrated

Part of me’s back there still

So confusing, So conflicting, Selfinflicted thats what Isaid

It’s all anybody talks about

It’s all anybody thinks about

It’s all anybody really knows about

It’s just like a fever goin round

Say goodbye to the old days

Say hello to the new

You may never find normal

No matter what you do

So confusing, So conflicting, Selfinflicted thats what Isaid

It’s all anybody talks about

It’s all anybody thinks about

It’s all anybody really knows about

It’s just like a fever goin round

Slow Motion

Slow Motion

I’m in need of something raging dangerous

That’s why I’m here

I was hoping you could help me darling

Get through my fears   in slow motion

Well I’m about to have a total meltdown

Lose all control

All the things I used to count on

Ripped out my soul    in slow motion

I need something soft beside me

Something true and kind

And I’ll need someone strong to hold me

When I lose my mind        in slow motion

So They Say
More

So they say

I don’t think you understand the misery

I don’t  know if you ever will

I’m just so sick of all the waiting

I have to take a number to stand in line

So they say

Hey baby it’s Ok

Time takes the hurt away

Pretty soon Now You’ll be free

And I’ll Just be  a memory

Don’t believe everything they tell you

Don’t believe everything they say

There has to be another answer

There cannot be only one

So they say

Hey baby it’s Ok

Time takes the hurt away

Pretty soon Now You’ll be free

And I’ll Just be  a memory

I don’t pretend to know where you’re going

I don’t assume to know where you’ve been

I’m not sure I can fix your problem

Still somehow I feel your pain

So they say

Some Other Time

I don’t have any worries

I don’t worry about today

I’ll worry about tomorrow when its gone away     Hell yea

I don’t have any trouble

No trouble in my mind

I don’t see a problem spinning round behind      No child

I got a pretty woman

Gonna take her home

Gonna watch the sun go down and watch it rise again    Amen

I’ll tell her the truth some other time

A whisper in the city A whisper in my heart

I wasn’t suppose to end this way

But you knew it from the start    hell yea

Can you explain to me all the mysteries of life

Cuz I don’t have tn answer leastways not today     No child

I’d like to get a freight train

Runnin’ straight away

Just like the old days I’d been on my way    Amen

And I’d tell her the truth

I hope that when I leave ya               Hell yea

I leave ya with a smile

Leave you with a chunk of gold that would choke a dinosaur

Headed towards the heavens

Head on for the line

Head on over yonder go nothing on my mind     Oh child

I saw in the morning

I saw her by the gate

I said we’ll live forever Heaven can wait      Amen

Sorry
More

SORRY

I’ve been waiting

Sitting here anticipating

Thinking maybe someday you’ll come back

And I can finally have my heart back

Suddenly it seems I got no chance

Believe me I know that I got no chance

I still want to get you back home

I’m just so sick of being Sorry

Too much

Too much of a good thing

Too much of anything’s a bad thing

And loosing you was such a sad thing

I miss the way you make my heart sing

You know, you know as well as II do

That you’re the one that’s running from the truth

And I’m the one that’s supposed to turn you loose

Please don’t tell me that you’re sorry

I’m good

Don’t you worry about me know

It’s too late for that anyhow

I guess I kind of miss you being the clown

But since you left things are turning around

I’m even thinking of a new town

The kind of place where I can shine on

And I won’t have to Be Sorry.

Tired of Everything
More

Tired of Everything

I’ve been thinking about the world

And how it is today

And I don’t know that it’s much different

Then it was before

Sure it’s changed and we know better

But we still can’t get along

Maybe I should hide my head

Down deeper in the sand

I’m tired of everything because no one seems ashamed

I’m tired of everything because no one takes the blame

I’m tired of everything      I’m tired of everything

War and greed and politicians

What the hell went wrong?

They all say they’re for the people

Same old silly song

If money is the root of evil

We don’t stand a chance

Power hungry civil servants you can kiss my ass.

I’m tired of everything because no one seems ashamed

I’m tired of everything because no one takes the blame

I’m tired of everything      I’m tired of everything

I’m no better I’m no different

And I don’t have a plan

I was hoping that you’d take me

To the Promised Land

I have given all my strength up

To try and take a stand

All the words that I can think of

Have been said before

I’m tired of everything because no one seems ashamed

I’m tired of everything because no one takes the blame

I’m tired of everything      I’m tired of everything

Walk On Water
More

Walk On Water

I put myself down

I broke me all the way down

I took everything around me and I screwed it to the ground

All those things you told me

Well they must have been true

You knew all those things about me and I never had a clue

If you ever write a letter

Please cross me off your list

I’m sure that I don’t need to hear you shaking up an angry fist

Do you walk on water now?

Keep me close and distant

Yet forever in your mind

You might need a favor or a friend on down the line

Mistakes are something that I’m sure

You have never made

I’d like to have you trust me

But I can see you’re still afraid

I’d like to pack your problems into a tiny car

And drive them off a cliff or maybe shoot them to the stars

Do You Walk On Water Now?

You don’t look behind you

Because you know what is there

You want to start a new life but you don’t really care

Going to make some changes

Going to turn your life around

Until you hear those voices and you can’t stand the sound

Maybe you know better

Than the rising sun

Or maybe you’ve just tossed up everything you’ve ever done

Young Lovers

First time

That he saw her

It was over

She would be the rest of his life

The first time she saw him

Love at first site

She said he took her breath away

They were young kids running dumb kids

On their way to win a war

She show a new world/ to a young man

He was the King of it all.

They’re out riding/ going nowhere

With nowhere to go

Somehow trouble’s bound to find them

How does it know?

She’s driving soft hair blowing

Finding truth where she can

No one’s listening no one noticed

They just kind of slipped away

Young Lovers Turned Outlaws

She pushed him, he pulled her

They were trying to make to make one

To young to know better

To young to have to leave

Big mistake was finding true love

Now they had nothing left to loose

There was no way

They could go back

They would run until the end
